2019 Santa Fe: A Perfect Family 7 Seater

Hyundai’s trademark SUV Santa Fe has been around since the company restructured and aimed to conquer the global market. The first generation was introduced in 2001, and since then, this SUV was a big part of Hyundai’s success, spawning into two more generations. The fourth and upcoming Santa Fe has evolved a lot from its predecessors, and it’s ready to enter the battle for supremacy in the competitive market segment.

The Design

Starting price of €43,695, the Santa Fe is positioned as a premium SUV with all-wheel drive as standard, and extraordinary presence. Hyundai is no longer a budget brand, and when you see the all-new Santa Fe, you’ll quickly see why. Its design is bold, elegant and just the right bit aggressive, with the Cascading Grille as its most distinctive visual feature, wide stance and flowing lines elegantly underlined by details like chromed tailpipes.

The Performance

The powerhouse of the upcoming Santa Fe will be offering a choice between a 2-litre diesel with 152 or 180 horsepower, a 2.4-litre petrol engine producing 185 horsepower, and a 2.2-litre diesel 197 horsepower. There will also be a choice of either manual or automatic transmission.

The Features

The 2019 Santa Fe will come in three equipment variants, and those are Comfort Plus, Executive Plus, and Premium Plus. All three feature seating for seven, 3.5" TFT instrument cluster and conveniences like automatic climate control, cruise control with manual only, rear parking sensors, rain sensors etc. In two of the higher variants, you can expect to find Android Auto and Apple Car Play, an addition of front parking sensors, advanced cruise control for automatic transmission only in Premium Plus, and more.

The Safety

When it comes to safety, the Santa Fe will be well-equipped even in a base variant, with features such as driver fatigue detection, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking coming as standard. Blind spot collision warning will be standard only in the Premium Plus variant. All Santa Fe variants will be equipped with front, side and curtain airbags, ensuring maximum safety for all occupants in case of a collision.

The Final Thoughts

The future of the Santa Fe looks bright, as it’s a valuable addition to the market segment. The 2019 Santa Fe seems like quite a reasonable proposition for buyers searching for a well-equipped, safe and stylish SUV for a big family. So, if you’re on the market for such a car, wait just a bit more and explore the fourth generation Santa Fe soon!
